Ezer Review: Heelys
I was given this awesome opportunity to review the above awesome pair of Heelys. In case you don't know, Heelys are the original shoes with wheels in the heels. You are able to go from walking to rolling by just shifting your weight to your heels. Sounds difficult? No problem, Heelys has tutorials, the ins and outs of safety and how to skate responsibly right here... http://www.heelys.com/SitePages/FootwearTricktionary.aspx
I chose the charcoal and blue pair in my size. I loved the look of them and when I tried them on, they fit perfectly. Now, you know I'm a Momma of five that is constantly on the go. I decided to wear these for a few weeks as shoes without the wheels in them. I've heard rumors in the past about the shoes being too heavy for kids and not good for your feet. I have to say I disagree. These shoes were so comfortable and light weight. Wearing them all day including while serving people at a busy soup kitchen proved their worth to me.
Now on to the fun stuff, I have to admit I'm taking it easy on the wheels. But my kids love them. Two of my kids have successfully and with ease mastered the Heelys with wheels. They are as fun as they look according to my kids. :)
I'm going to master the wheels and put a video up once I do... Over all, I think that Heelys are a great choice of shoe for Moms, Dads and kids alike!
Disclosure: I was given a pair of Heelys to review through Business2Blogger, but no other monetary compensation was received. As always, the thoughts, images, and experiences are my own.
