Oh Snap!, Ive Got the Power!

There have been so many times in my life that I have done things based solely on fear.  Fear that I might let someone down, fear of what might happen if I go against the grain.   But in the end, when you are all by yourself and have to live with choices that you made, fear seems to be a pretty lame excuse for making such poor choices.

The awesome German Eurodance group Snap! taught me that " I got the power" in the late eighties  but  honestly I had no idea what that meant until recently.  We all have the power within ourselves. As his lyrics say "its getting kinda hectic...its getting kinda heavy.. Ive got the power.." I know, it sounds funny but really.. life for me has been very hectic and heavy.  Many times I have forgot that I have the power to step out of the boat and walk on water.  By the way, I do not think that I possess any power myself on my own.  I do know that the power I have is the Holy Spirit living in me.  I believe that because I live in a state of constantly seeking God,I can find God in all things even in a song that wasn't made to be a worship song. :) God has the incredible ability to use all things to grab your attention if you just pay attention.

It has been such a great reminder to me that I have the power to pursue a life based on living and not on fear.
I pray that all of you are living your life fully aware and present...don't let fear steal your power!
