My all time favorite movie has to be by far "The Sound of Music". Maria overcame so many obstacles and her world changed so very much. The way she fell in love with the Captain and I guess being a romantic at heart I have always wished I could find that LOVE. I found it quite interesting that the movie was mentioned in the book. I just want to love and be loved. My other favorite movie is "Dirty Dancing". Baby's determination to do that dance inspires me every time I watch it. "No one puts Baby in the corner". Again another love story that just pulls at my heart strings.
My favorite movie has got to be Walk the Line. I love Johnny Cash's story! My favorite character is June Carter Cash. Through the movie we see her having her own love struggles. At the end, her devotion to Johnny even through his drug withdrawal just really spoke to me.
This is sooooo easy, didn't have to think aboout my answer for a moment(and I know Wendy won't be surprised)...Dirty Dancing...hands down. I have watched it a gazillion times and never get enouogh. Ofcourse I relate to Baby, although I don't think I was ever nearly as naive. I did, however always love the "rebel guy" or anyone my parents wouldn't. The part where he tells her parents that "noone puts baby in a corner" melts me every time. I used to be a dancer and I dreamed of having that "big awesome dance" that everyone would love. I still dream of the man that willl take me out of my corner:)
Maybe lame, but since I was a very little girl I have loved Cinderella. I so want to believe in the fairy tale true love..and that maybe one day My Prince will come! Ugh..what a sap I know <3
I dont know if its my all time favorite but I love Lelu from the 5th element. Random movie that no one really knows, I know. But I idenitfy with her in a strange way. I understand myself the way her character is portrayed. Shes strong and powerful and shes put on this earth to save people - to save humanity actually - but ya shes fragile and broken and just wants to be loved. The more she learns about humanity the more heart broken she becomes not understanding why we have to hurt one another, why we have to live in fear and have war etc. All she wants is to live in love....and eventually love finds her and at the last minute as the world is about to come to an end, its because of love finally confessed that she has the power to overcome and humanity is redeemed. I love her. Shes weird and has crazy hair and outfits and its good :) Shes just like me! :) Thanks for asking us this - its good for my heart: and i want my heart back. <3
