Rebuilding

On a recent trip to NYC I couldn't help but be drawn to the  Freedom Tower being built.  The Freedom Tower stands on the site of former World Trade Center and is due to be complete in 2013.  You can see that the top is still being built... but its beautiful...

Personally, I am rebuilding after a nightmare of a destruction.  Sorry, there is no gentler way to put it.  There were so many uncertainties filled with fear.  As the smoke cleared I found myself  at what seemed to be a total loss-but still standing-barely. I am sure that my stubbornness to keep some sort of normalcy for my children kept me pressing forward.

My rebuild is far from over but I have learned to embrace this part of my journey.  It is hard at times. I have had to look at my failings too and lets be real, that is never fun.  I have learned that I can really trust God and not rely so much on people.. even those you think you are closest to.  I have also learned that I am stronger than I ever thought possible.  I am taking the so many lessons learned and will be stronger, wiser and maybe just a lil bit prettier when all is said and done.

Choose love and be blessed wildly!

  3. Wendy,
I am proud of you and your inner strength. You used to say to me all the time, "How do you stay so strong Colleen?" Well, God walks with us through troubled times and never leaves our side. You are just as strong as I ever could be in your situation. You are loved by many but most importantly by our Father who will never let you down. Love you Wendy Sue...always stay blessed!
